Pattern by Hand 102 : Indigo, Madder, Goldenrod and Tannin
At Marshfield School of Weaving : 334 Jake Martin Road Marshfield, Vermont 05658
Wednesday August 21 to Friday August 23, 2019
In this workshop we will be learning to make our own tools for marking fabric. Simple brushes, pens and kalam will be used to apply mordants to yardage. These fabrics will be dyed and fixed and layers of color can be sequentially added to be able to create a full spectrum of tints and tones. Black, yellow, blue and red can be layered and overlapped to explore a large range of the color spectrum available to natural dyes.
