INDIGO TOUR

FREE SEEDLINGS • LEARN TO DYE • YOUR INDIGO QUESTIONS ANSWERED

Thank you so much to everyone who came out and supported my first annual indigo tour in the spring of 2018! From the mountains of the Southwest and West Texas, to the hot and humid South, from Appalachia to the Cities of the Northeast, I received so much hospitality and warmth and gave away thousands of indigo seedlings (hopefully some of which survived to produce color)!

Those of you who participated last spring, and who grew your indigo plants, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE share images and stories with me. I’d love to be able to pass along the images, knowledge and the collective experience that we’ve gained with a larger audience. I’m planning to do this tour again in the spring of 2019 and would love to hear how to improve the experience for everyone.

Please help me make the 2019 tour an even greater success! I need help finding venues at which to teach, places to stay along the way, recommendations for swimming holes, and indigo growers. One of the biggest challenges last year was keeping up with the demand for seedlings. This year, with even more tour stops, I’m going to need help from citizen-growers along the way. I’ll provide you with the seeds, instructions and timeline, supplies and funds to grow indigo seedlings that will be given away as the tour progresses.

In May of 2019, I will again be traveling across the United States, hosting indigo events :  free plant giveaways, cocktail parties, drop-in dye sessions and full fledged indigo workshops. At each stop, indigo clippings, ready to grow into full dye plants, will be available for free to anyone attending. The event and location of each stop on the tour will be unique. If you are interested in hosting an event at your location, get in touch!
