Indigo and wind.

On a recent trip to Seattle, I stopped by Earthues, the mecca of natural color, and picked up some natural indigo pigment to tide me over until the growing project with Silver Lake Farms yields a crop of Indigofera Suffruticosa. I've been experimenting with a few different resist techniques for dyeing designs onto the cloth. The chevron was formed through a folded and tied shibori pattern.

The blue was set loose on the wind next to the Salton Sea, a haunted body of water in Riverside and Imperial counties of southern California.
